On the Tool

Terms & Conditions

Who we are

On the Tool is a UK-based agency, currently run as a sole trader by Natu (info@onthetool.co.uk). These terms cover both browsing this website and becoming an On the Tool client.

Using this website

This site is here to explain what On the Tool does and let you get in touch. We've checked it works and reads correctly, but we can't guarantee it'll always be available or completely error-free — if something's broken, tell us and we'll sort it.

What the service is

On the Tool provides two things, separately or together:

The enquiry system

An AI system that answers enquiries — by text, WhatsApp, or missed call — asks qualifying questions, and books the job into your diary, for plumbing and heating (and similar trade) businesses.

Website builds

For clients who want one, we also design and build a website, the same way we built the decorator's site referenced on this page.

Being upfront about what it is

The enquiry system is AI, not a person, answering first. It's built to get the right information and book the job correctly, but like anything automated it can occasionally get something wrong. If it does, tell us — Natu personally supports every client and will sort it directly, not via a support ticket queue.

Pricing, trial, and cancelling

Who owns what

For a website we build for you, once you've paid in full, the site is yours. Unless you ask us not to, we may show completed work (like the decorator's site) as an example of what we build, without sharing anything confidential about your business.

What we ask of you

Give us accurate information about your business when you set up the enquiry system — the questions it asks and the diary it books into are only as good as what we're told starting out. Let us know promptly if something about your business changes (hours, areas covered, the kind of jobs you take).

Liability

We'll do our best to represent your business accurately and book jobs correctly, but we can't guarantee the enquiry system will never make a mistake. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the total fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost profits beyond the job in question). Nothing here limits liability for anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. For an active client, we'll tell you directly before any change that affects your pricing or cancellation rights.
